Nut-Free Protein Balls

These delicious balls are refined sugar free, gluten-free and nut free. I've designed them especially to help stabilise blood sugars, keep you energised and satisfy those chocolatey cravings.  They are also great to pack into kids lunchboxes and taste like a raw bounty bar....it's hard to stop at one. 

Nut-Free Protein Balls Recipe

INGREDIENTS

Makes 12 - 14

1/2 cup Healthy Chef Naked Chocolat or quality dark cocoa powder

1/4 cup Healthy Chef Organic Pea Protein Cocoa

1 cup desiccated coconut

1/2 cup hulled tahini

3 tbsp pure maple syrup

1 tbsp vanilla extract

60 - 80ml water

METHOD

COMBINE Naked Chocolat, coconut and Organic Pea Protein in a bowl.

ADD tahini, maple syrup, vanilla and water, then mix again until the mix forms a soft chocolatey dough. Add more water if needed.

ROLL into balls then into coconut.

STORE in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

ENJOY!

NOTES & INSPIRATION

BLEND 2 protein balls with coconut water or rice milk and 1 frozen banana for the yummiest smoothie.
