So here’s my recipe for Nut-Free Protein Balls, packed with superfood chocolatey goodness. These delicious balls contain organic, raw and natural ingredients to help keep you healthy + energised. I’ve designed them especially for the readers who have requested a version of protein balls for the kids to take to school or for those with nut allergies. These protein balls are so delicious – they taste like a raw bounty bar and it’s hard to stop at one!


Dates are nature’s ready-made dessert. They are rich in vitamin B6, B5, niacin, magnesium, manganese, copper and potassium,  all the important nutrients needed for a healthy metabolism. Healthy Chef Pure Pea Protein is the perfect plant based protein to support optimum health + wellbeing. It’s sugar, soy + lactose free, perfect for those with allergies. Protein is the macro nutrient needed for improving  glowing, radiant skin, supporting digestive health, a strong immune system, sports performance + sustained weight loss. ingredients (Makes 16 balls)

6 fresh pitted dates (116 g)
½ cup (40 g) desiccated coconut
½ cup (60 g) Naked Chocolat Mylk
¼ cup (30 g) Pure Pea Protein (vanilla or natural) or Pure Native WPI
½ cup organic cold-pressed coconut oil or coconut butter


  1. Combine the dates, coconut, Naked Chocolat and Pure Pea Protein into a food processor or high speed blender.
  2. Process until dates have mixed in with the other ingredients and mixture looks crumbly.
  3. Add the cold pressed coconut oil or butter and mix again until combined.
  4. Add a little water if needed and process again to form a soft dough.
  5. Roll into 16 bite size balls then roll in coconut.
  6. Store in the fridge to set.

  • Coat with cacao nibs or add goji berries when mixing into balls.
  • Add 1 teaspoon Organic Matcha to boost antioxidants and to power up your immune system.
  • Use cacao butter in place of coconut oil.
