NATURAL PROTEIN – Why Healthy Chef Pure Protein is so good !

Protein is considered by many to be the most important macronutrient for humans because of the numerous roles protein plays in the body. Whenever the body is growing, repairing or replacing tissue, proteins are involved. They are found in your skin, bones, muscle and all your organ tissue. In addition, they are used to produce hormones, enzymes and haemoglobin that carries oxygen in the blood. The main function of protein is to build and repair, as well as sustain muscle. Good sources of protein are fish, organic poultry, unsalted nuts and seeds, organic / free range eggs, lean beef, game meat, organic tempeh, natural yoghurt, quinoa, beans, legumes and protein supplements.

When most of us walk into a supermarket or health food store, we are seduced by label padding and rows of protein powders promising weight loss or lean toned muscle. It can get a bit confusing to choose the best one for your needs, as well as knowing how it’s prepared and the ingredients used in making it.  When I designed my Healthy Chef Pure Protein, it had to be the purest and highest quality protein supplement available as well as use organic ingredients so that everyone could enjoy it.

Healthy Chef Pure Native WPI.
Our pure native WPI is the first of it’s kind in Australia.
It’s filtered directly from pasture-raised (grass fed), hormone-free, raw milk that only has one single pasteurization process as required by law – All other methods are at cold temperature to preserve the native character of the protein (defined as un-denatured). It is filtered through cold temperatures and has a high complete ratio of full spectrum amino acids that are rapidly absorbed into the body > 95%. I also added organic vanilla bean, organic alkaline cocoa and a hint of stevia to our natural flavoured varieties which allows for a clean and purely delicious taste.  Healthy Chef Pure Native WPI is specifically designed to be the purest, bio-available source of protein that does not cause bloating or gastro-intestinal issues. It is low in fat, low in carbohydrates, high in protein and free of soy, gums, fillers, sugar and gluten. Most of the lactose is removed via our filtration process so you’ll find many people who are lactose intolerant can enjoy healthy chef WPI. Check out the full breakdown below:

Healthy Chef Organic Pea Protein.
Our protein is first organic pea protein supplement in Australia. Entirely raw, alkaline and plant based, containing all the essential amino acids your body needs to heal and nourish in a perfect environment. It is low in fat, low in carbohydrates and free of soy, sugar, gluten, dairy and lactose, making it suitable for those who suffer from food allergies and food sensitivities. It is ideal for vegetarians, vegans or anyone wanting to incorporate more protein into their diet and support optimum health.

Many people have asked me the difference between our Pure Native WPI and Organic Pea protein.  So I’ve designed a simple brochure that I hope explains the difference between the 2 and highlight their unique benefits. To view our full brochure – click here.

    Hi Teresa,

The protein powders look fantastic…Any chance you will be bringing out an entirely raw plant based protein in a chocolate flavour?

    • Hey Holly – our organic pea is competely RAW and in vanilla flavour. Just add a little raw cacao to this when you blend. We are however designing a chocolate version and hopefully will have one out very soon. :) x

Your protein is like the perfect protein and best one I’ve found so far! I just don’t know if I can justify paying that much for such a small serving :S It’s so tempting though! You should do sample packs- I want to go vanilla so I can change up the flavours if I want, but I’m picky with the taste. the one I have now is horrible and can only be used in recipes, when another flavour is dominant enough to overshadow it.

    • Hey bek- you get the same amount of protein from our serve as you do with others where you need twice as much. This is because many of them are loaded with fillers, dextrins, gums and sweeteners to make it look like more. you also have to look at the quality – it’s like comparing a grass fed piece of steak to a sausage. You get what you pay for and it’s important to know what’s in the food you eat. Come by our healthy chef stand at the expo in April – Sydney and sample some. :) x

Hi Teresa, great site. A friend who has already started her journey put me onto it. I’m just beginning to mkae some changes and was wondering what the differences are between the pea protein and the WPI? Thanks. Amelia.

    • Hi Amelia – take a read of this post and upload my brochure – it tells you the difference. Basically the Organic pea is Vegan and raw with lots of unique benefits. The WPI is low in lactose and comes from grass fed dairy. :)

Hey Teresa – can I just say after cooking from your recipes for about 8 months now – everything I make tastes fantastic – I decided to take the plunge and bought a 6 pack of the organic pea protein. I haven’t looked back – even the husband likes it – and he refused to eat any of the other brands because of their artificial taste.Bravo! and thanks! :)

    Hi Teresa
I am new to low carb eating and looking to eat more healthy and lose weight.I am not sure if I can eat your yummy breads and goodies and still lose weight (just go by calories in) or if I have to limit breads and yummy snacks. Any help would be appreciated

    Hi Teresa,
I would like to know what the natural powder tastes like, I want to be able to mix up with other flavors like fruit and vegetables but not too sure? I am interested in trying your pure protein powder but not sure on the flavor, can you help me?

    • Hi Suzanne – both the natural and vanilla can be mixed easily with your fruit and vege based smoothies. The natural has no taste – just clean – the vanilla is scented with vanilla bean and a little stevia. :)

    Hi Teresa

I’m very torn on which powder to go with. I’m wondering would one be more suitable in trying to loss weight of course along with healthy food and exercise. Thanks

  8. Protein is definitely really important to anyone’s diet. If you’re trying to be healthy you need to make sure you get enough which is why some vegetarians have health problems. I love that this is an easy way to get that protein and to stay healthy. The fact that you have the ingredients list right on this page helps everyone to get more information before they try the product for themselves.

    Hi Theresa,
Is there somewhere I can buy the protein products online?
