What’s great about it Studies have shown Matcha has the ability to boost your immunity, control your stress and assist in weight loss !

Matcha Tea is the champion of green tea. One bowl of Matcha tea is equivalent to 10 cups of green tea – it’s a powerful, green tonic to revitalize the body and mind.

Matcha is particularly rich in Catechins, a powerful flavonoid shown to have antioxidant, anti-cancer and heart protective properties. It also contains high levels of L-theanine, a unique blend of amino acid, to help reduce stress and anxiety.

Stress Support
Matcha can help to make you feel relaxed, calm and happy due to the high levels of L-theanine. Supporting your health in every way. Matcha energizes your body as it relaxes your mind and has the ability to support immune function.

Fitness

Matcha provides a delicious nutrient rich energy boost before and after your workout. Matcha has been shown to increase mental alertness, and the ability to concentrate both during and after your workout.

Weight Loss
Matcha also works as a fat blocker. Matcha blocks the ability of digestive enzymes to break down fat, a step necessary for fat to enter our cells.  It doesn’t raise blood pressure or heart rate like coffee making it a great alternative. Drink a cup every morning to replace your regular tea and coffee. For a meal replacement drink, blend 1 serve of Healthy Chef Protein with 1/4 – 1/2  teaspoon Healthy Chef Matcha, 1 frozen banana, almond milk and ½ avocado. As a snack in between meals combine ½ teaspoon Matcha with 1 tablespoons Healthy Chef Protein and shake with coconut water or your choice of milk.

Beauty The rich concentrations of chlorophyll found in Matcha work to alkalize the body. Helping your skin look clearer more radiant and you’ll feel revitalized.

Detox
Matcha is a good way to safely cleanse the body. Chlorophyll the element that gives green tea and other plants their signature vibrant color is a powerful detoxifier.

Immune

The antioxidants in Healthy Chef Organic Matcha are beneficial in strengthening the immune system; green tea keeps the immune system running normally. Healthy immune systems are better at handling infections from bacteria and viruses.

Digestion
Healthy Chef Organic Wheatgrass Juice + Organic Matcha will help alkalize and cleanse your digestive system.

What about Caffeine ?
Matcha does contain caffeine however it’s about half that of a regular cup of black coffee. There is a key difference with regards to how matcha caffeine impacts the body.
The caffeine in matcha is assimilated and absorbed very slowly (over 6-8 hours), a huge difference from the quick 30 minute energy spike with coffee caffeine. This results in a long and sustained energy boost.
There is also no blood sugar spike, insulin increase, or release of the stress hormone Cortisol, as with coffee caffeine.
Matcha can actually help stabilize blood sugar, and reduces stress on the adrenal glands.
All the energy benefits are obtained without the negative side effects. This is a beautiful energising drink.

    Hi Teresa,

Just wondering what your thoughts were for giving this to children? (Regarding the caffeine). Is it worse that cacao? We usually make one smoothie for all of us- should I leave this out for them and then add it in for me?
    Thank you

    Hi Teresa

Your Macha looks amazing. Can you advise if the tea is grown in Japan?

    Thanks Lyn

    • Hi Lyn,
Our Organic Matcha Green Tea is grown in pristine organic surroundings, from Jeju Island in South Korea – in the shade on volcanic soil, from non polluted high quality soil so that the end result is a Matcha tea that retains maximum nutrients as well as being clean and pure. It is free from all chemicals and Australian Certified Organic :)
